“The Swedish Institute taught me the importance of being competent in my line of work and how to provide excellent patient care utilizing the skills I learned during the didactic and practicum portion of the program.  

Both Dr. Peerzade and Dr.Sathiyaseelan made the biggest impact on me during my time at the Swedish Institute. Dr. Peerzade was very hands on and made sure I understood each concept before moving forward. Dr.Sathiyaseelan was very attentive to all my questions and concerns and provided excellent feedback on my clinical experience. 

The advice I would give someone going into the Medical Assistant field is to take the classes seriously. Follow along the course syllabus, study the material and get plenty of hands on practice to fully master these new skills. When you’re out in the real world working as an MA many patients are going to ask you questions regarding vital ranges, or what’s an EKG and why certain point of care testing is done in the manner it’s collected. So it is very important to practice and study the material to avoid the patients having lack of trust in your abilities.”
