I am honored to say I graduated from Swedish Institute not once, but twice. The First time was in the Massage Therapy Program and the second, Surgical Technology. I felt more than prepared in the in the surgery room. Mostly very confident in what I have learned. Special thanks to Richard Gardner in Career Services who worked day and night to make sure I got a job. If I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat.
Swedish was the perfect place for my transition for my journey into the medical field. I was properly taught and prepared for what I could expect in real life applications. Once making it through the 18-month program, career services helped me immensely, in finding the right place to be employed by. I love what I do, and that wouldn't have happened if not for Swedish Institute.
Being in the surgical tech program was mostly a fun experience at the Swedish Institute. I learned a lot in my clinical rotations, such an intense and exciting profession, and clinical helped me tremendously with preparing for the "OR World". During my last term, Career Services help me so much, especially with my resume. Richard was able to find me a job, a now I'm living my dream of working in the operating room.
The hands-on approach truly aided me in comprehension and application of the sciences. Career Services provided a strong support system post-graduation. To all, I’m indebited!
From being interviewed by Lucy Lou from Admissions, guided by Dr Sam, to being prepped by all the instructors, and then helped by Mrs Rodriguez to land a job, everyone helped me bloom into who I am professionally. By far exceeded all expectations!
Even after graduation, I keep in contact with Career Services. Thank you Swedish Institute for all of your help. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my professors, classmates and Career Services.
I was able to immediately seek employment after I graduated, and I then started my private practice six months out of school. I’ve expanded and recently opened my second location. I would highly recommend the Swedish Institute.
