Crime Awareness and Campus Security

Federal Public Law 102-26 (Jeanne Clery Act) and its extension in Public Law 110-315 of the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 require that colleges and schools disclose security policies and procedures and campus crime statistics to prospective and enrolled students. To this end we have created a brochure for students and the general public that provides guidelines and advice that can contribute to this aim and encourage trust and effective communication in our educational community.

The Swedish Institute Crime Awareness and Campus Security brochure can be found here: LINK

Additional information about the Jeanne Clery Act can be found at the U.S. Department of Education website: http://ed.gov/admins/lead/safety/campus.html

Swedish Institute is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for students and staff. A Campus Security Committee meets annually to review security policies and procedures and crime statistics are updated annually. Questions concern campus security should be addressed to Jess Ferrante, Director of Student Services. She can be reached at 212-924-5900 ext. 117 or jferrante@swedishinstitute.edu.
