The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program provides employment opportunities to students with financial need. Prior work experience is not required to secure a FWS position.
The FWS program encourages community service work and work opportunities that are related to the recipient’s course of study. Students are encouraged to work with a Family Literacy Organization.
Placement for FWS positions is limited and acceptance cannot be guaranteed. Students are advised to search for FWS jobs as early as possible before the start of each semester or quarter.
FWS student-employees are subject to the same work ethic and policies that apply to all employees of Swedish Institute.
