Program Highlights

Curriculum

Get prepared to sit for the NY State Board Licensure exam with:

  • Training in both eastern & western massage
  • Classes in anatomy, physiology & pathology
  • Learn assessment skills to provide safe and effective massage therapy treatment

Practical Experience

  • Develop confidence practicing massage on clients from the general public in our three levels of on-site clinics
  • Practice massage on athletes, seniors, cancer patients and other populations at an off-site internships
  • Hone your skills and body mechanics in our on-site supervised practice rooms

Entering the Field

  • Develop business skills needed for self-employment, and tips to use the internet and social media to market your skills

Between 2004-2014, 91% of test-taking Swedish Institute graduates passed the NY State Board Licensure Exam.
