Introduction to Massage Therapy Workshop

We encourage prospective students to attend a hands-on workshop to give them a sense of what the Massage Therapy Program offers.

During the all-day workshop, participants sample the anatomy and physiology curriculum, followed by demonstrations and practice in Swedish massage and Shiatsu.

Participants need to wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a twin-size flat sheet, large bath towel and note-taking materials. While receiving a Swedish massage from fellow attendees, participants will be partially disrobed, but will always be properly draped, as is required by New York State law. During Shiatsu sessions participants remain clothed and work on a mat on the floor.

Workshop Fee and Dates

There is a fee of $50 for the workshop (non-refundable and non-transferable) which will be credited toward tuition if the participant decides to enroll.
