Accreditation

Prospective students should inquire about the accreditation status of any massage therapy program they are considering and find out if it is accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Accreditation is the approval process a school follows in order to ensure that its students receive a consistent quality of education. A school that endeavors to maintain a high level of academic excellence and service will take the time and effort to go through the accreditation process. Accreditation is required in order for a school to provide its students with access to federal and state financial aid programs.

The Swedish Institute is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). The Swedish Institute's Massage Therapy Program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). Its programs are registered with, and regulated by, the New York State Department of Education.

The accreditation status of educational institutions that disburse financial aid is public information and prospective students have the right to inquire about it from schools they are considering, as well as from federal and state agencies.
