Curriculum

The Personal Training curriculum focuses on teaching the physiological principles and hands-on skills needed to design and implement safe and effective exercise programs in gym or home settings.

An important component is a presentation of the history of changes in exercise styles as the result of scientific research. By understanding the scientific basis of exercise programs, students will be able to critically analyze current trends and advise clients based on sound principles that ensure safety and effectiveness. For details see Course Descriptions.

Students who are licensed massage therapists will be able to combine massage with exercise instruction in order to enhance the therapeutic effect of the massage and further motivate clients to become more involved in their own wellness.
