The Swedish Institute is seeking dynamic instructors to join its faculty.

Massage Therapy Program

We are looking for New York State licensed massage therapists, or other health professionals, with a minimum of three years experience in their related field, who are eager to share their expertise and are committed to creating a positive learning experience for students. We anticipate openings for the following positions:

Instructor - Pathology and/or Anatomy and Physiology

Minimum qualifications include - NYS LMT or equivalent, 3 years experience in the field, MS or higher in Biological Sciences or related health profession. Teaching experience a plus.

Acupuncture Program

Clinical Supervisors

We are seeking Clinical Supervisors who are licensed acupuncturists with five or more years of clinical experience. Prior supervisory experience in an academic or clinical setting is preferred, but not necessary. Candidates must have excellent knowledge of TCM, as well as have a willingness to work with the classical systems and techniques taught at the Swedish Institute. They must be familiar with HIPPA and OSHA regulations.

We also anticipate openings in the following positions:

Instructor - Surface Anatomy 

Instructor for Surface Anatomy class for first term acupuncture students. Minimum qualifications include master's degree (doctorate preferred) in related biological or clinical science. Class will be held Wednesday evenings in the Fall '06 term. 


Instructor - Biomedical Pathology

Minimum qualifications include master's degree (doctorate preferred) in related biological or clinical sciences. Three years clinical experience preferred.


Guest Instructors - Grand Rounds

As visiting faculty, guest instructors will demonstrate clinical skills in client intake, assessment and treatment of clinic patients for students to observe. Minimum qualifications: New York State licensed acupuncturist, minimum of five years clinical experience. The schedule for Grand Rounds is one full-day shift.
